Lowering 65

Hi everyone,

I'm sure this a redundant thread, so if you can point me to one that helps or a website, that would be appreciated.

I would like to lower my 65 1 inch all around.

What is the best way (economical, but don't want quality to suffer) to get this done? Where are the best places to find parts?

Thanks to all!

Here is a pic of the 1" lowering blocks i got from Mustang's Unlimited. Easy to install and have had no issues w/ them. I think the price went up since I bought them several years ago.

I think both of the previous posts are right. If you're looking to drop the car (always a good idea IMHO) and don't beat on it, and don't want to spend much, blocks are just fine. I've used them with success lots of times on lots of cars and trucks and never regretted it. If you've got the extra money and need new springs or a different spring rate anyway, then new dropped springs are a great way to go. The only trouble with dropped springs is, what if you order (for example) 1" dropped springs and they turn out to be the same height (or worse, higher) than your old stockers? It happens, then you either have your new springs re-arched or buy blocks anyway. As far as the front, you can drop your A-arms (Shelby drop) or cut your springs, or both, to get exactly what you want.
