I'm short on cash right now but really want to install my springs (H&R SuperSports). If I don't replace anything else, will I screw anything up? If I get C/C plates will that adjust things enough so I don't have uneven tire wear? I really want to do things right, but money is a huge factor right now, any suggestions?

Thanks

I drove mine for about 4 weeks without C/C plates without any noticeable tire ware. The only risk is to the tires, I don't think anything else will be hurt. You will have to take the struts back off again when or if you intall the C/C plates at a later date. Not sure how long your factory Shocks/Struts will last with that stiff a spring, its a crap shoot. Just have it in your plan to change them at some point in time.

Just ordered the C/C plates (Steeda)

isnt it a lot less work if you just do the caster camber plates, shocks/struts, and springs at the same time?

Yes, it would be ALOT less work but as I mentioned in my initial post, cash is not available for other parts. So that means I'm stuck with having to do the work at least 1 more time.

I'm in the same situation as you, but I'm just gonna save until I have at least 600 so I can do it all once. Try checking ebay and the part trader you might be able to get used parts a lot cheaper(can probably get used c/c for like 80)

Already ordered the CC plates, just need shocks/struts and maybe control arms.

I've decided to do my suspension next as well... gonna buy it piece by piece then do all the install at once. Perhaps you guys can reccomend some parts for me?

Shocks/Struts: Leaning towards Strange Engineering 12 way adjustables. More cash but worth it IMO.

Springs: Not sure? Thinking Eibach's, Steedas, or BBK. What do you guys think?

C/C Plates: No idea.

Upper and Lower Control Arms: Again, not sure but want to do it all at once.

Subframes: Who to go with?

Shocks/Struts: If you don't get those, Tokico

Springs: Eibach or H&R

C/C plates: I like Rusty's BBK's look real nice

Upper and lowers: I have no idea

Subframes: MM

If my Isolatores arrive before the weekend I may try and do the install this weekend.

I figure I'll have mine done by December

the hard part for me will be having parts sit around waiting to be put on

John,
What are your plans for the car. Your suspension choices will depend on your goals. Drag, looks, lots of fun to drive but not race?

See sig....

I bought mine peice by peice and then did the entire install at once. Except the subs... I did those early in the life of my car.
Post a side view of your car, I would love to see how it sits. Sorry about the wife leaving you, think of it this way. Once you're out of debt, you at least don't have to spend any money on her!!!! Also think of all the chicks you pick up rolling the very around!!!! Major + having a vert, chicks dig it.
