Lowering my '05 GT

Right now my '05 is parked so i figured it was a perfect time to buy some "toys" for it, but i know jack about what exactly i want. I figure lowering it and getting some nicer wheels would be first though. SO whats should I do to lower it? just the springs or should i get some kit? and which kit is good/affordable. I dont want to lower it and have it ride all raunchy, i just want it to have a lower stance and still ride good

If you want an inexpensive solution look at the Saleen Suspension Kit.
Springs, Shocks, and Front Swaybar for $799.99.

I spent almost $4000.00 in parts and I'm still not done with my Steeda Suspension but I don't think you can compare.

You would need to call or email them as to how much it will lower the car.

Lowering as the primary goal: save your money and get springs only

If you lower it you will need to get an adjustable panhard rod. When you drop it the rear tires will shift to the right.Get one from www.bmrfabrication.com they sell pretty much any suspension item you might need. the quality of there product is great. If you are worried about the ride after installation of the Eibach's or whatever springs you get you should. I had mine lowered for several month's before Tokico came out with an adjustable shock and strut the ride could be a bit stiff and jolt you when you hit a bridge transition or a pothole. So if you buy a lowering kit that is a package deal that has struts make sure they are adjustable.

If i put the lowering springs and the pan hard bar on there...would i need to get some caster camber plates as well or would this not be a problem?

I used the Eibach Sportline's and then I carried it to a custom alignment shop the front end was only out 1 degree. No cast and camber plate needed and that's been since april with no uneven wear on tires.
