Lowering Springs

Steeda and Eibach both make excellent quality springs. You may need camber bolts to get the front end within spec. Some have needed them, some haven't.

I have Eibachs on both my cars and they've been good products so far for me. I needed camber bolts for my Mustang, but that wasn't unexpected. I was happy to find that the stock shocks are working well with the new springs. For the price, I think you really can't go wrong with this mod.

we run the FRPP "K" springs with no other mods, and great results...we didn't need the camber bolts for ours, it aligned back to spec with no problems...oh yeah, and the "K" springs are made by Eibach, from what i have read and been told...

I had wanted to lower mine also but with out all of the adverse affects, like caster camber issues and a new panhard bar. I also didn’t want my mustang to look like it just had the wheels shoved up in to the wheel wells. I have18x9's and most of the springs out there will do that to the front wheels. One option is to buy the roush rear springs. The mildest drop I could find (roush rear aside) was from TEIN, it was 0.9 front and 1.7 rear. I really wanted 0.5 front but couldn’t find it. I've got 255x40 front and 285x35 on the rear for tires. After I did it I thought it looked too low in the front but the rear looked perfect. It doesnt have any problems driveing over speed bumps and the ride quality stayed the same. I had no caster , camber issues and dident need a new adj. panhard. Over all my buddy’s and I think it looks real good the with the Tein springs. Hope I helped.

He did all of it in a parking lot at his friend's apartment complex. Got the spring compressor from autozone and went at it in an afternoon. They didn't use an air gun or anything...it is possible haha.

Tire/Wheel sizes (from what I can remember)
front: 18x9 with 265/35/18's
rear: 18x10.5 with 295/35/18's

Man that looks real good. That was the look I was trying to achieve, just the right amount of wheel well gap. Mines black also. I guess I should try to take some picks and post them. I think your friends looks better than mine though.

Mikey, may I suggest.....

May I suggest H&R? It gives a 1" drop in front and 7/8" in the rear. Mild, but still gets rid of a gap so big you could store luggage in it. They advertise very little effect as far as harshness is concerned (15-20% if I recall). Others on this site will attest.

I lowered an '01 Cobra with Ford Racing Springs which were basically Eibachs. For alot of city driving, I was royally pi$$ed every time I hit the slightest bump and found myself zig zagging around them. Thought my teeth would get rattled out of my head. I've memorized bump and rough locations.
