The 5.0L EFI intake is a Mustang trademark, why would you want an "LS1 style" intake?

I think whats nice about the ls1 intake manifold is its like an upper/lower intake in one. A manifold like that would give us 351 guys alot of hood clearance. Of course many things would need to be altered.

Well there's this one thing that kinda gets in the way, it's called a DISTRIBUTOR...lol

You'd need a huge hood to clear it.

You'd have to construct some sort of LS1 style intake tube or else it would run over to the fender and look stupid.

What's the point other than for looks? It's not like it's going to flow any more than a regular style 5.0 intake?

Well I'm sorry i could care less about the trademark stuff, this is going into a 93 rx7. i need some hood clearance is my concern not chevy vs. ford. Also dodge, nissan, toyota, andmaserati use the same style manifold. It is a great concept. Long runners low sitting manifold.

05 Mustang has a front facing TB manifold like the LS1's/LT1's
I'm sure it could be fabbed up, but I'm not sure who does em other than Hogans. And they can be expensive.

like someone mentioned above the distributor is going to be the biggest problem. You could fab one or have one made, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble. Why not get a spyder intake and turn the T/B elbow toward the front?

I hate ford for putting the distributor in the front of the engine. Gets in the way, looks ugly, and clutters up the front of the engine.

When I first got into cars it was a ford I owned so I think it's normal. It spooked my out when I first saw a distributor at the back. Talk about weird.

however if you do get an lsi style intake, you must also purchase the mullet conversion kit.
