I'm sure someone somewhere has done it, but I have never seen a write up or anything for it.

That's what I was thinking. I've been looking for other shells but the ii was my first car and has 80000km original on it.its mint and already has a lot done to the car itself. I have a lot of support when it comes ls info and tuning.it will more then likely be a 4.8l with a single t76 turbo if there is any interest I will make a build thread and post progress. I may be selling few goodie's that are for the ii custom built stall rear end gear set ect.let me know if there is any interest or else I will not take the extra time to do a build thread. I am not sure how Many people are on this forum anymore. But look forward to replies and any comments anyone may have

Nice. Just give it time, most people's threads take a day or two to get going. Understand most people on a mustang/ford forum aren't going to be gun-hoe about a chevy motor going into a ford. With that said, I'm sure there's a few of us car guys that are into any make/model. I personally don't want to put a chevy in my ford but I do love to bastardize chit.

I will be starting mock up in a couple weeks just seeing if there is any interest in such a project. And as far as chev heart in a ford you can't beat the bang for ur buck factor of a lsx turbo setup. That's how I look at it

I think a cts-v pan will clear the stock k member with custom mounts, the wiring will be psi plug and play harness. Just have to figure out where to mount a front mount

I'd like to see this build, all though I'm one of those that likes to keep a Ford a Ford, a Chevy a Chevy, and a Dodge a Dodge, with one exception, a 426 Hemi is OK in anything LOL

I used to be that way, but GM has some strong, small, light, and powerful pushrod engine packages these days. I think that's all they have going for them, but that's another discussion for another thread.

The 2.3T I'm putting in my Pinto weighs almost as much as an iron 302 fer cryin' out loud.

Little update still waiting for buddy to have a spot in his garage. So I decided to pull the 302 and install sub frame connectors I've had kicking around for a couple years. I have a 4.8 ls th350 trans ready to go in. And have a final parts list made up

Finally got canton front sump pan and set it in to get a idea of what I'm working with. More room to rad and for plugs then on the 302
