I noticed today while washing the stang, that one of my lugnuts is not like the other four. Its brass and plain. Is that what our lug nuts are? And then they are covered by silver caps? I thought they were all forged then polished.

What will i pay for four lug nuts?

Your car may have originally had the (flimsy) anti-theft lug nuts in one position on each wheel. My '03 came with these and I threw them out when they fell apart at the 5000 mile wheel rotation. I bought four chrome plated nuts to match the others for about $8 at Pep Boys.

all of our lug nuts are a plain open acorn nut with a metal cap on them.. you thought ford would use polished forged lugnuts

sorry i have worked for ford for a long time and they are the cheapest company in the world .. except for when it comes too leting everybody at the reg. offices drive brand new lincolns ( yep including the suckutarys)

My wife's '02 Gt had the same thing. They are cheap lug nut locks from the factory.
