Just installed my Pro 5.0 shifter. It rocks!!!

No more spongy, squishy shifts. Why doesn't Ford put a shifter like this one in stock!?

Instructions from Pro 5.0 website were good, but didn't mention the little plastic cap that the ball goes into. Figured it had to be reused, which is no problem since the ball is the same size on the old and new shifter. These instructions were so detailed, it should have mentioned it.

Also, doesn't say which side to bolt the handle onto. It wasn't bolted on when I got it, so I had to guess.

I love my 5.0 . I recently picked up the MGW adjustable handle and it really complements my setup.

Put it on the driver's side. At first, I thought it went on the passenger side b/c it looked more centered that way and I was afraid maybe my hand might bump the side. Putting it on driver's side makes it easier to reach and there's still plenty of room.

i want to get a pro5.0 also, but I also don't want to void my warranty. The guy at the dealership said if you have any new problems with the transmission they won't even look at it, and I want to wait until there is at least a tsb for the 1-2 grind.

Not a problem. Take it off before going to the dealership. It'll take ya 20 minutes.

Didn't you trim the rubber boot that goes over the shifter?
It'd be pretty noticable if it were cut.
