I installed an offroad h pipe and pony express performance mil eliminators on my 98. I soldered the mil eliminators in properly to the 02 sensor and drove around until my check engine light went off on its own. After about 1 week of the light being off, it came back on out of no where. Now, is it recomended to disconect the battery after initial install of mil eliminators to reset the computer or does the computer relearn on its own? what could the problem be here guys?

Pull the code and make sure it isn't something else. You could also check the connections at the MIL elliminators. . . . .I would have reset the computer during the initial installation of the MIL elliminators as well.

Mill eliminators are crap, you have to get a chip to have it turned off, if u have a o/r pipe. I have mill eliminators and disconnected my battery over night and all that crap. It's still on untill this very day. When I race, I disconnect the battery and reset the computer and reconnect and the mill is off for like a day, then its back on again.

I made my MIL elliminators myself and I haven't had any problems or MIL's since.

Im going to pull codes today and make sure its nothing else. If infact it is the mil, Im going to reset it and see what happens. I know the connections at the mil are good because I soldered them in.

I pulled the codes and they all came up for oxygen sensors. I cleared them out and hope the light stays off! I have the mils in so there's no need for that damn light to be on!
