hi to all, i have a mac catback w/ 3.5"tips. the drone is incredible throughout the powerband. mostly from 35-65. i need suggestions on what mufflers or x pipes to use to get rid of the resonance this exhaust produces. i'd like to keep my tips as they are the chrome ones that go all the way to axle. the low rpm sound of this exhaust is real nice, any suggestions, i've listened to mustangexhaust.com, i need more opinions. thanks...see my sig for mods if they affect the drone.

3 things you can try.

Check this thread out.

I started it a couple days ago. I'm trying to get rid of drone as well, and I have the MAC cat back. You might find some useful info in it for yourself.

Looks like you can either do some sort of t-bar mod to the exhaust, use dynamat for the interior to muffle the noise our, or get different mufflers.

I'm probably going the different muffler route. Probably either Magnaflow or 3 chambered Flowmaster.

I have a Mac Catback on my 00GT and had drone, I put on a UPR X-Pipe and the drone is gone. Sounds awesome and the upr xpipe is fairly inexpensive.

Dr. Gas!!!

Had that with my flows, would have kept it if I didn't have a leak(not Dr. Gas' fault). No drone at all, just a wonderful exhaust tone.
