Personally, I wouldn't go through Lethal Performance. They have great quality products, but they are (by far) one of the most expensive vendors.

In all honesty, you dont need a whole catback system. The stock tubing is just as good as the "shiney" pieces offered in various catback systems. I would urge you to just purchase the heart of the catback (the mufflers) and have them welded-in into your stock catback.

I bought and welded-in a pair of MAC Flowpath mufflers that I purchased for $120 shipped and had them welded in for $25. I really dont know why people waste money on catback exhaust kits.

Because in most cases the aftermarket system is 2 1/2" tubing, vs. 2 1/4" stock, for improved flow.

and also many cars' factory catback is beginning to show its age with leaks and corrosion

The tiny bit of sizing difference is not going to result in any performance difference.

Spend the extra $300 on something that will actually improve performance.

It's not going to transform your car into a beast, but to say not any gains...

Not to mention the tips on most aftermarket systems look much better than the stock tips.

You can always sell the stock catback to make up some of the difference.

Yes, it the long run it WILL improve performance. Your car is just a giant airpump. More air in, more air out. If you are adding things without the basics to bring air in and out of the engine, they will be hindered.
