Hi guys and gals.

I just bought a Mac Catback exhaust for my 94 GT 5.0, and unfortunately it has to go back as the box was damaged. The good news is that I did receive my 65mm BBK throttle body in one piece and was wondering if you all thought it would be okay to install it before I put my catback on in a few weeks or do you think it will be too much air going into the system? I also have a BBK CAI installed already. In the next month I'm also planning on a fuel regulator upgrade to bring the PSI up to 45psi from the stock 35psi, saw all these upgrades on Horsepower TV.

thanks in advance for your input!

Larry

Are you still using the stock intake? If so, the opening is only 60mm so, the 65mm TB won't work unless you enlarge the intake.

The CAI is ok to install. Just be carefull as the stock MAF sometimes freaks out if the tubing on the CAI has a bend in it that's too close to the MAF.

The regulator is ok as well however, why do you need to increase the FP? Stock is 38psi with the vacum off at idle. Plenty if your're still stock. I recommend a rail mount FP guage as well as the adjustable FPR.

Last, Horsepower TV and shows like it leave out alot of things when it comes to installing parts and such (There's a disclamer at the end of the show during the credits ) so don't take what they say as the whole truth. Better to ask here or other boards so you can get real life experiences.

TB should be fine to install, an AFPR isnt really worth it on a mostly stock engine IMO. spend that money on some U/D pulleys.

after those save up for some gears

ah.. okay the set up they used on Horsepower TV seemed to work well, underdrive pulley's are next on my list. They said the added 10psi I'd get with the APFR would show a "moderate increase" on a stock set up that I have with the 65mm TB.
