I have seen a brand of Exhaust for sale on Ebay called "MAC" anyone know anthing about that, because i want to put exhaust on my stock 96 GT. Suggestions are welcome. Im looking for it be louder, not really worried about how fast it is right now. But let me know what you think i should do if you want, and give me how an idea how much a muffler shop would charge to install it. Thanks.

MAC is a known brand I forget what it stands for but they're cold air intake is pretty popular and alot of people enjoy their pro chamber off road h-pipes there web site is www.macperformance.com you can check them out.......but I haven't heard a mac exhaust in person I have heard sound clips of them at www.mustangexhaust.com.........that is a good web site to listen to exhaust clips and learn alot about exhausts....I personally don't enjoy the exhaust but thats just my personal opinion I am sure others will tell you differently........If you want it to be loud I would go with magnaflow magnapacks or slp.

I just put an entire MAC exhaust on my car last week. L/T headers, prochamber, and catbacks. Sounds good, a little drone around 2000rpm. Overall I'm happy with it so far. Those headers are a nightmare to install tho.

My buddy had a MAC exhaust on his 95 GT. It sounded good, a little too loud for me but he liked the sound. The only problem he said was that it was a pain in the neck to install. He said that it took forever to get everything aligned right and the flanges didnt fit right. Also he said that the quality wasnt as nice as the bassani system he got to replace the MAC

I have the MAC catback exhaust on my 2000 Mustang GT and I like the sound. There is a noticeable drone @ 2000 rpms but it does not bother me at all. If I wanted a quite car I would've bought a civic or some other rice import . Or just left the factory exhaust on for that matter . I had a Flowmaster setup on my 97 GT before I totalled it. I wanted something different on the 00 GT. Overall I'm very pleased with the MAC setup...

I am about to finish off my exhaust with the catback system.... What system get the most hp at the lightest weight. I care don't that much about the sound as long as it's not like 4-5 times louder than stock catbacks. And, I don't think spending $600 on it is resonable unless your talkin a major hp increase.
Too many choices.. well there just can't be too many, but you know what I mean.

Just got done putting MAC o/r h pipe and catcack on the other day. I love it, one of the best sounding mustang exhausts i have ever heard. I had flowcrappers on my last stang, and didnt relaly like it, and besides everyone has flowcrappers. The MAC was easy to install for me and sounds awsome, only had it on a few days and i have gotten a lot of compliments. I say go with the MAC you wont regret it.
