Mac Long Tubes

Hey ya'll, I just got my MAC long tubes today and H-pipe. In the install instructions they say to unscrew the motor mounts a little and raise the engine up to install them. Do I need to do that? Thanks for the help.

where would you position the jack for that?

I put a block of wood between the oil pan and the jack.

you dont have to jack the motor up, but it does make it easier. even with the motor mounts loosened and the motor raised, the starter is in the way on the passenger side and the steering shaft is in the way on the drivers side. dropping the starter out and disconnecting the steering shaft make the install of the longtubes a piece of cake. hope that helps.
