does anyone have a pic of the 1 5/8 mac lt's with a 2.5 collector?or if you have these,is it a pain in the a$$ to change the plugs?i looked at bbk's and there aint no way in hell those are going on my car, looks like you would have to pull the header off to change the plugs.i know there equal length shorties suck to change the plugs.i went to the mac site and the only pic they had were the 1 3/4 with hts coating.what the hell is that?paint.any help here?the only way im gonna go with the bbk's is to try the 1 3/4 lt's for the fox cars.

I don't have any experience with the MAC LT's. I DO have the BBK LT's on my car and all I can tell you is it's easier to change my spark plugs now then it was with the stock headers.

Sorry, I hadn't seen the thread. I have the Mac l/t and no problems. I don't have the smog equipment which just makes it a TON easier, but overall, the headers give me no problems with the plugs. I can switch out all 8 plugs in under 10min. NO BS!

I have the pro-chamber and in all honesty, I wish I would have done the h-pipe. Sounds better in my opinion. The h-pipe has the rumble that distinguishes the mustang. The pro sounds good but is not as loud(throaty) as the h-pipe. Also, i don't think that the x's sound too good on our cars. They sound wicked on 4.6s but not on 5.0s.

I have the Mac LT's

No probs with the install, fit, or since the install over 3 years ago.

I've done nothing but snug the bolts after a couple heat cycles.

Ed Curtis told me a stock block h/c/i combo would loose torque with the larger 1 3/4 size

Just not enough airflow gets produced I would imagine for the larger size and we are talking about NA btw

I have the 1 3/4 Mac's No issues. Plugs are as easy to change as they where stock. I have the 3" collector and Prochamber. I am not as fond of the sound but I am not complaining of the power. Plus I don't need it any louder.

I snug my bolts when I change/check my plugs.

I think MAC has improved their quality a good bit. My finish is nice fit, was excellent. Of course it all wendt in at one time and I had to clearance for the Lakewood Bell.

with all the smog crap out of the way, loosen the motor mount and jack the motor up several inches. at that point, the passenger side should go in from the top after unbolting the starter. the drivers side, i went from the bottom after jacking the motor up slightly and disconnecting the steering shaft. the install isnt as bad as some people say it is.

If you wait until you have the motor in a heads off condition, the LT's can literally be laid in place
