I'm a fan of MAC catback, I've had 2 different ones on my 94. Had a 2.5" when the car was supercharged then changed to 3" when the car had a 347 Stroker.

I have a Flowmaster 44 cat back on my 94 now (new project) and it sounds great but I liked the MAC much better.

They are both chambered mufflers so it's a toss up.

I have had flowmaster 44's at 3 stangs so far they sound a little deeper and roudy to me but @VibrantRedGT is right they are both chambered and will sound pretty close you would have to hear two close setups to really be able to tell the difference to YOUR ears. Either way I you can't go wrong they will both sound great.

you tube is decent for different sounding exhausts, but for those that are close its not nearly as good as hearing it in person, id suggest going to a mustang meet your bound to find someone with the setups your looking at.

I just sold an SLP Loadmouth. If you like it really loud then this is for you. I couldn't stand it, the Flowmaster 44's which are loud without cats are half as loud as the SLP. It's basically straight mufflers because the SLP mufflers are really tiny.

UHHH i mean some people love it, but I think the SLP loudmouth...version 1 sounded horrible on my 02 GT...just like loud FARTS lol, I ended having magnaflows welded on to quite them down a bit.

Open headers!! Ha jk jk I just swapped all my exhaust out from Mac shortys, h pipe, flows 40 series I think and lx pipes, to longtubes x pipe, spintech pro street 6000 cat back w/ new lx pipes. Haven’t heard it yet though bc it needs a tune real bad.

did you have CAT's still on your's? I have x-pipe with the 2 cats, so I'm sure it will help.... the SLP doesn't even come with mufflers, they are just resonators... which you can swap out for slp mufflers that take there place (mufflers not included) ....

BBX X-Pipe no cats. The kit is like $500 and comes with no mufflers just resonators? That's a ripoff. I'll stick with a tried and true Flowmaster or MAC.

I sold mine used for $250, was happy to be rid of that system. Only good thing was it comes off or installs in sections which made it a breeze to adjust. Every muffler cat back system should come like this. Just used a 15MM wrench and socket, was a snap. The sound sucked.

Idk if I could ever do business with Mac again. I’ve been waiting 2 months on a set of headers. I’m kicking myself for not just going with accufab.

Just missed deadlines and broken promises from them so far. I’ve had their prochamber for 6 weeks though, which blows since it’s made to fit their long tubes

I’ve got a 2.5in exhaust with flowmaster 40s now and an x-pipe and it sounds pretty mean.

Although I loved my MAC 1-3/4" Ceramic Long Tubes with 3" collector, MAC 3" Prochamber and MAC 3" Cat Back I did not deal with them directly. These were on my 347 Stroker. Best sounding exhaust I've ever had and I've probably had 6-7 full exhaust systems in my lifetime on Mustangs.

Had the 2.5" macs on my 2004 GT, they were way too loud and resonated all the time, going up hill meant I couldn't hear the radio or passengers, any press of the accellerater pedal and all discussions stopped, needless to say you really didn't talk while driving the car. I squeezed the FlowMaster Delta 50s in trying to change the frequency... still loud although better and definitely sound better, still resonate under load through 5th gear then a nice cruising sound until between 70 and 76mph... drone again, then a nice cruising sound again. Trying the LMII next, someone said there is less cabin noise / drone with those since they are straight through. I installed a good bit of mat to deaden the drone and super loud exhaust, it didn't help much with the macs so I am slowly trying others.

Everywhere I put macs in my post, should've said magnaflow. The magnaflows were way too loud inside the car. Haven't tried the macs yet.
