OK I posted earlier about which exhaust performs and sounds the best on an 04 GT. After doing some research, I have come to the conclusion that a MAC catback system with a MAC Pro Chamber will give me the best sound and performance I am looking for in an exhaust system. My question to everyone is are there any cons to this system that anyone knows of through owning it or other opinions from other people. If anyone who has seen or heard this setup on a 04 GT could post up some pros and cons, I can finalize my decision.

well i love the sound of a full mac exhaust system this is my second exhaust system from them, i also had the same setup on my 98 & it sounded great some people have had some rust problems with them, but i've had nothing but good experiences with them i had a problem with one of my headers after it was installed this past time, but they took care of it promptly

i LOVE the Flowpath mufflers (MAC catback). They give a more refined throaty rumble than Flowmasters IMO and they perform much better.

Here's a GT with JUST the MAC catback clip

I bought a mac o/r H used from ebay. It had a tad bit of rust on it, but wasn't bad. Installation was great. Bolted right in. I haven't really had any experiences with parts that are actually made for a specific car, except for my exhaust on my ford probe. It was a pacesetter catback and it fit like ****. Had to be modified to get it to fit. The h pipe on my mustang sure helped performance, and even with the stock catback it sounds awesome.

I have a mac cat back and a upr x-pipe on my 2000GT. I've had my mac on for two years now and no rust. Easy install and even better sound.

I see you live in the north, so you will have rust problems unless you use alot of chrome polish and finish, and before you put the pieces on, spray them with som VHT high heat paint or duplicolor high heat paint, good luck.

Thanks a lot to everyone for their responses on the exhaust on how it sounds and how to keep maintenance up on it. Anyone else who has anymore opinions on this exhaust or setup, feel free to post up.

Thats an awesome setup too. My buddy had that exact setup on his 02 GT and it sounded very aggressive. I am just going with MAC to be a little different than other mustangs in my area
