Mac pro-dumps

Man are they LOUUUUUD! I thought i would like how loud it would be but daaaamn its really Really loud! I mean don't get me wrong they sound good but geezus im thinking of switching to tail-pipes...maybe its part of getting older (im only 24)

I don't know how people stand their SLP loudmouth 1's....if they are louder than the mac dumps which i imagine they are you must have to be half deaf to drive around listening to that much noise all the time....

Yeah, dumps are too loud for me these days. Both of my first Mustangs were dumped, but I ended up liking tailpipes more abour three years ago. SLP loudmouths are just way too loud. My '02 GT is about as loud as a car with loudmouths, but it had Flowmasters, so it sounds tons better. At least in my opinion.

i'm concerned about it being to loud when i finish my side exhaust. i hope i hope i hope its not too loud that i can't stand it.

haha, yeah, my buddy had dumps on his car and ended up ordering some flowmaster chrome tails and we welded them up, I like the dumps personally and that's what's on my 65, but for a daily...it's just too much

yeah man i have dumped stingers on my car.... im 22 and am contimplating on going back to tailpipes... just cant find any 2.5" kits w/ a 3" tip i like...

I have the 2½" Flowmaster tails on my Cobra, and I just recently had some 3x18" Magnaflow tips welded on those. They had to cut/weld on the stainless part of the Flowmaster tails, but I still like the look. I couldn't find any tailpipes with a natural finish that I really wouldn't mind cutting up.

Only problem is that you have to be careful that the shop welds on both tips as even as possible. My passenger side is sticking out a little farther than the driver side, but I'm not worrying about it now since I need to get the entire pipe moved back a hair since it's smacking the front side of the rear axle.

The tips are Magnaflow part #35111, and the Flowmaster tails are part #15815

God i just back from a 14 hour round trip drive to mobile and i feel like my head is going to implode, definitely putting tailpipes on!

thanks bro! i think im going to be ordering both kits... i really love the sound of my car... just at low rpms its loud as all hell... and im sure once i install my HCI w/ the LT headers and O/R H pipe, itll be even louder... i think tails will be my perfect solution!

deftsound, i guess ur username is spot on then wouldnt you say? after that ride im sure ur half deaf atleast im realizing dumps arent that great anymore... u can barely hold a convo w/ the person next to you..
