i bought a prochamber that fits a 98 model mustang. i have a 00. before i bought it i contacted MAC to see if they were compatible. they told me that the only difference in the two is that the 98 model had hangers and the newer ones didnt, so as long as i cut off the hangers i shouldnt have any problems. well i just took it to a shop and they say it wont fit. has anyone else done this? any ideas are greatly appreciated.

There isnt any 94-98 Midpipes that will fit 99-04's or vicaversa. The crossmember area is totally different and wont allow either years to be compatible. Ive been down that road

well actually the prochamber did fit up there perfectly fine. there was a leak on the driverside where the manifold bolts to the prochamber. they said that they did fit together right. the 02 sensors were to short too but other than that it did fit. does anyone know how to stop that leak?

Did it come with a piece like this to slip into the driver side pipe that connects to the manifold?

That piece came with my MAC pipe to help make a tighter seal in that location, if it was not installed then that may be your problem...

damnit, thats teh piece i need! mine worked great for about 1 year then its been leaking over teh past 3 weeks... andas far as i know you cant buy that "adapter anywhere...

all it does is puch out the prochamber farther so you dont hit the shoulder on the studs... i hate ford sometimes!!!
