who has ever used or have the MAC produmps? i'm curious to know how they sound, i just cut off my tail-pipes today and put turn downs on the muffler and it sounds kinda cool but alittle loud for me. let me know anybody has any advice on a good muffler.. what about side exhaust for a fox GT..
well i dont have mac dumps, but i do have flowmaster 40 series with dumps and it is really ****ing loud... ive never heard a stang with side exhaust so no comment there
I had mac produmps on my 89 lx. they are way better than any other muffler Ive had...I read up on test on a muffler shootout to make the discision, Mac made in the top 3 most HP gains, they were also louder than most mufflers..but not overall louder than thhe 2 chambber flows I had dumped. pro dumps are a tad quieter. Just the right kinnd ouf lound, and not too abnixous.they are quiet at idle, but not too quiet about the same as flow,IMO perfect. And they have less drone when crusing. My flows had lots of 2k drone, enough to make a buzz in my ears. pro dumps had alot less drone than Flowmaster 2 chamber dumped, and 3 chamber dumped, Ive had both flowmaster and mac pro dumps on the same car with bbk shorty, hi-flow catted H...The pro dumps were the best sounding, cleaner pure muscle sound compared to flowmaster. and I did notice a gain in power also...Trust me flowmaster make nearly no hp in tests, they have lots of drone, and they are cheaply made, I got lots of rust, even in CA..The pro dumps are quality, they have a heat coating, and they are 200, and they bolt right up, it took seriously like a hour to install. I wish I kept a sound clip....I think theres clips on Mustangexhaust.com. mac pro dumps will be your best and last exhaust purchase. youll love them.
