Quick story but it leads to my questions...Ok I was driving down the road and boom...there goes my exhaust manifold, lol. So I drive me and my friend like 500 feet back to my house and we go down the street to the shop thats been doing all my work. After talking we decided that it was probably just my gasket but there could be damage to the manifold. Seeing as how thats the only part of my exhaust I have'nt touched and have meaning to this was an ample opportunity to replace them. My questions are...Does anyone know about how much horsepower you gain from them...and will my exhaust sound different? Thanks in advance for any help.

they say on the pick-up trucks shortie headers add 19 hp can't see why it wouldn't add around that for the mustang.

It will sound a little different, but don't expect a huge change. You may not even notice it.

Personally I like the mac units, especially when you consider price.

20hp on a mostly stock motor seems a little optimistic, but who knows.
According to the 5.0 dyno book, the mac headers, midpipe, and cat back are worth 19hp at 5400rpm.
