OK so Im debating getting a Mach 1 chin spoiler. But I have Eibach Sportline springs and sometimes scrape on some driveways and parking lot entrances. How durable is the chin spoiler and how it mounts? I dont want to tear it up or rip it off. Also it would appear they are getting harder to find. A couple places I checked were out of stock.

you can get them on ebay. they are geuine ford OEM parts, not the CDC chin. $83 + $9 shipping. the ebay store that carries them is called stangstore.

oh, and i dont have one, but a friend of mine does and to be honest, they *look* a little flimsy. nost saying they wont stand the test of time, but with the sportlines expect to scrape it, even if you're careful.

A new facility has gone into full production on the pre-'05 chins (OEM). I got mine from 5.0resto last week, no back order and no out of stock. There should be more places to order them from soon and they should be more readily available. They don't ship as a complete kit anymore though. You have to buy the fasteners seperate.

The "Christmas tree" fasteners can be purchased from any auto parts store for < $10.

If you should fall oooouuut.

Mine did ship with 3 of these already on it, so I'll have something to compare it to when I get the rest.

One good scrape is the kiss of death. I scraped mine lightly..wet sanded it and used a little Wesleys wet look(tire stuff) to restore the finish. They look great but seem like a time bomb.

I scraped mine just about two days ago, while swerving to miss a deer. It kind of distorted the curvature where the chin turns to wrap around the driver's side.

xeler8: Write up on how you did that, in more detail?

I was gonna get one but i'm afraid after about a month it would be destroyed. I already cracked that black plastic piece thats under the front. Lowered cars + Mach 1 chin = atleast on mine it would.

Key word "CAREFUL" I have sportlines installed a Mach 1 about 3 months ago lets just say I no longer have it. Im pretty slow over speed bumps and driveways, it can be done just watch where your drving and how your driving.
