All excellent points guys! I'll agree with most of them as well. I love the Azure Blue Mach 1, I'd have that or a solid black one for sure. The interior seems to be a big one for most of you, and I'll admit I love it. That, along with the functioning shaker hood, I'm really beginning to feel it. As far as parts and cost to repair, unless there is something prone to breaking, I'd say the newer year model Mach would be best. That's what happened with my Cobra. I can't blame the repairs on it being a Cobra, but rather age and mileage had gotten the best of it. Since this won't be a daily driver, I can live with SRA for sure. The IRS and extra hp were the benefits of the Cobra, but it seems the hp difference isn't what I thought it would be. Also, the Mach has a little more torque if I remember correctly, and most of my driving is at lower speeds and I want to feel the punch. My 96 Cobra only made 284/286 hp/tq with some bolt ons, I think the Mach should be near that stock, right? While there truely are no downsides to either I can find, you guys have about sold me on the Mach. As far as being common, I've saw more Mach 1's than Cobras. However, outside of our statewide Mustang club, I've only seen 1 or 2 of each in the last 6 months. Most around here are sporting v6's and GT's, so being different really isn't an issue. I really want a Terminator, but I'm pretty certain that's out of the picture due to cost. That does bring up a good point though. How hard is it to do an Eaton swap onto each? Would it be easier on the Mach or the Cobra? Thank you all for the input, and any more would be excellent!
