Mach 1 Suspension in 96-98, pics please!

Sorry, Bullitt suspension here. 1" drop in the front and no C/C plates needed for proper alignment. IMO, the Mach wouldn't be enough of a drop to warrant the effort and certainly wouldn't need C/C plates.

Answering for the Bullitt kit, it came with non-adjustable shocks, so can't help out with the question about shock/strut settings. And yes, definately it firmed up the suspension - much less body roll in the turns, no brake dive and feels sporty now. I would imagine the Mach springs/shocks and struts would be similiar nature.

As far as tips go install wise, the use of two hydralic jacks and proper 1/2" sockets for proper leverage worked wonders for me. One of those jacks was of high quality and would definately recommend to get a hold of a decent pair in which to work with. Also used a pair of stationary jacks for safety. Take your time and be safe.

I could be wrong, but I thought the Mach 1 was the same drop as the Bullitt....1" 96-98 , .75 99-04

Pic below and some more in my sig. IMO, as far as the amount, I would like a little more ~another 1/2" would be good for me. I'm gonna try removing the front isolators and maybe install Steeda balljoints to accomplish that.


They are close as they both have similiar spring rates and use Tokico shocks/struts, but not exactly the same: Product descriptions below:

The performance-handling package includes: New front and rear coil springs with adapted load and rate Re-valved Tokico© struts in front and shocks in rear.

Bullitt KIT INCLUDES INCREASED RATE MUSTANG SPRINGS, ANTI-ROLL BARS, SHOCKS AND STRUTS TUNED FOR USE WITH THIS PACKAGE. SPRING RATES: FRONT 600 LB AND REAR 250 LB. LOWERS 94-98 VEHICLES 1" AND 99-03 VEHICLES .75" SIMILAR TO THE BULLITT FACTORY SUSPENSION SETUP.
