MACH 460 6 disc changer: Is there a shuffle/random play mode? The very similar 6 disc changer and it has a SHUF button that rotates between No shuffle, shuffle track, shuffle disc & track modes. The one in my 04 GT doesn't have that, it seems. Am I not seeing it?

No, I dont think there is such a thing in the '04 GT.

Your owner's manual should cover all aspects of the changer's operation, have you looked there? I know I wouldn't admit to reading the manual myself but, I promise I won't tell anyone if you do.

Nothing in the manual, so I would say no. But I just find it hard to believe that they did not include a shuffle/random play feature. That's one of the most basic features of any CD player. Even the $10 portable ones.

That's odd the 03s have the button. Ask you dealer how, they have to know.

The 04s have the "satellite radio capability". Still, I can't believe they took off random play. They could have deleted a channel preset button instead.

Ha! I freakin' found it by accident!

I was playing a CD and I hit the MENU button. Then the option to cycle between SHUFFLE OFF, SHUFFLE TRACK and SHUFFLE DISC showed up. Woohoo!

Lame ass user's manual had nothing on it.

Also in the menu was the COMPRESS ON or COMPRESS OFF option. I have no clue what that does.
