MACH 460 advice

[H What 4.6]

I've read most of the threads on here but none seem to determine exactly what is needed to just replace a HU without damaging the factory amps. None are for my year either...
If i install a HU will the Scosche adapter from crutchfield be all i need..... Ive got a 97 with the Mach 460 and would like to install Alpine CDA 9856 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-EiJADrXaTul/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=500CDA9856

I don't know directly, but I have done business with Crutchfield in the past and I'm sure they can help you determine the best HU.
