i was listening to a cd when all of a sudden the song started playing really fast then just quit, now it wont play any cds.

radio still works though, is this a common thing? i wonder if im still under warranty.

Mine is acting up recently too! I was playing a CD then it just shut itself off... it turns itself back on and blinks after a while. Does it with the radio too. It works fine for about 5-10 minutes when I get in my car, but after that it gets stupid.

i bought it used with 9200 miles on the ticker at the time, now it has just over 24k miles. the guy who sold it to me said he got it with the post 9/11 0% financing deal so i would assume it was purchased after 9/11/01

Then yes, it still should be covered under factory warantee. :nice:

yep, you should be able to take it in and have them deal with it :)

If not get another factory unit. Mine is 4 years old, and I never use the radio. I have 92K miles, and use it only all the time. It's occasionally slow to eject, but still doesn't even skip, so they're not that bad. I added two 10's and a nice amp, and am very pleased with the sound :nice:

This was happening to mine last summer. The head unit would get real hot and the cd player would crap out. Took it in and they swapped in a new head unit no questions asked, apparently its a very common issue with the 460.
