Ok here's the deal: Let me say I know very little about car audio but I need to fix my Mach 460 problem.
I took the car to Best Buy and after the tech checked it out for like an hour he told me basically all he could do is replace the entire system,wiring and everything.
He said there is a problem with one of the amps in the rear deck. He said it should heat up with use, but it's not heating up.
The symptoms that had me bring the car in is the rear deck and door 5X7's are getting no signal no sound, no nothing. He pulled the door speakers out and hooked them up on the bench and they worked fine.
If someone might know what the problem is PLEASE tell me. The tweeters on the door and rear deck do put out sound, but there is no bass----very "tinny", I don't know much about speakers/car audio like I said before.
If all I have to do is change out the mach amp or do I have to get aftermarket amps? He also said that it's not just a swap the amp deal either because of the way Ford made the wiring. Maybe someone could explain my options to me? I would really appreciate some help! Thanks!!!!
