So while the car is in the garage for the winter and the civic winter beater is out! I figure ill fix all things wrong now i have the mach 460 sound system and my left front speaker will cut in and out? Does when it cuts in though it sounds wonderful. Does it mean its blown because it does that or do you think i have a loose connection?

i would check for a loose connection first. those speakers from ford are only like 25-30 bucks to replace so i wouldn't be too worried if it is blown.

ya, doesnt sound blown, but if you have to replace speakers ever (just a side note) you must either rewire the whole system cutting out the factory amps and replace all speakers, or just replace with factory ford speakers... i have had the WORST luck after unknowingly replacing the front lower 6x8's with pioneers and now the volume only goes so high and the same thing will happen, only both speakers will cut out on me at least this is my understanding of what has to be done... ANYONE feel free to correct me if im wrong, only if you have have proof that im wrong. trust me i would LOVE to be wrong
