Im looking at buying an 03 mach 1. Only issue i have is the heavily ressesed(sp?) gas pedal. I know you can make a spacer and move it up in 99 and 00 mustangs. I read an article on it. Can you do the same with 03 mustangs? If its not the same way then how? Thanks.

I've had my Mach 1 for 2 years now, and I can honestly say I never heard of this. Can you explain what it is, and why it would be an issue??

I'm sure you can do the same mod to the '03, if you want.

I've had my Mach for over a year and have never had any issues with it... Why would you want to mod the pedal?

With the stock pedal arrangment, i find it damn near impossible to do heal toe driving.

Strait line driving is only so much fun ay know.

I'm just taking a wild guess here, but I'm assuming you've never actually driven a Mach 1? The pedals have been arranged for ultimate heel-toe braking/acceleration, at least that was one of the points mentioned in the comparision between the Mach 1, GT, and Cobra. Mind you, I couldn't do heel-toe, if my life depended on it, I'm just passing on what I've read. I also remember Evan Smith pointing out that the Mach 1 pedals were placed exactly as they should be to facilitate heel-toe in the video comparision that MM&FF did on the track at Englishtown's road course.

Gas Pedal Mod

I have done this mod to my 04 Mach1 and 97 Gt. I was looking into setting up a little kit. I have found a great nylon washer to use. Using one will give you about a 1/2 inch lift two 1 inch better heal toe for great driving. I'll get some pics and instruction together.

I could probably produce these spacers like I do my IAC restrictor plates, but the thought of someone installing these wrong and get seriously hurt or killed with one installed then they could come back and say this spacer caused the wreck is a high risk of being sued.

After all this mod is for the sake of hauling butt
