Few questions for those of you who have rebuilt and gone to a machine shop before...

What are decent prices for block reconditioning...4.030??

What are decent prices to get my E7 heads reconditioned??

I also want to get the heads ported? What exactly does this mean and how much should I pay for it? And also will ported E7's with upgraded springs and rocker arms be just as good as gt40's??

i just had my block machined. align bored, torque plate honed, mag'd, and tanked, and had my crank machined 010, it ran me about 500 bones

I don't have reciepts anymore, but I can say getting E7s prepped, new springs, valves, port work, valve job, milling etc... will cost close to if not as much as an aftermarket head. I don't have all that done to mine, so mine were a good deal less, but a fully done E7 is not cheap!

The works on my block for my 347 was $450 almost 4yrs ago.
