Had a question about the aftermarket MAF's for the 4.6:

I have a bolt on gt with full exhaust and 3.73's. This week im picking up a predator and a buddy of mine has a 85 mm C&L MAF that he doesnt need anymore. There seems to be a couple of snags here though:

1. The 85mm MAF was for his Mach1.

2. On the C&L site, the MAF size is the same for the Mach1 and the gt. however, they say that when you put in the larger maf, it will lean it out a little bit and they say not to use the MAF along with a computer flash (like a predator im assuming.) which is what im getting this friday.

3. Im still on stock injectors, and im wondering if it will run too lean with the predator tune and the MAF.

The only reason im considering the new MAF is because he's selling it real cheap and i was under the assumption that some minimal gains were possible with it? correct me if im wrong, and any help/opinions would be great!

i wouldn't recommend using the new maf since you arent making big power towards where it would get maxed out

Do not tamper with the MAF. If you do you will need a professional tune. It is not even worth it to change out the stock GT MAF IMHO...
