MAFS connectors dont fit together

i have a 89GT and recently bought a complete 5.0 engine from an 88 and it came with a bigger mass air sensor. my old mafs was the stock one but had the newer style oval connector on it, but this newer one has the old rectangular style one, which obviously wont work with the connector that comes off my wiring harness. so i went to ford today, and they said they do not carry the plug i need any more because ford has labeled them obsolete. anyone know where i can find one?

would i be able to just solder the wires directly to the connection points on the MAF sensor until i can get my hands on the right connector? if so anyone know which wires go where? the oval connector has the connections labeled ABCD and the rectangular one is labeled ABCDE with no connection goin to B.

my old (smaller) mafs was used with the stock injectors, and this new engine has 24lbers. can i swap the electronics on the top, or is that what gets calibrated for specific injectors?

anyone? ttt
