I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference would be between buying the cat-back system or the axle-back system. As far as I can tell all the cat-back gives you is the mandrel bent tubing which I believe the 05 gt already has. If anyone has any info on this please help me out.

The axle-back is basically only the mufflers and tips. The cat-back includes the "flow tubes" from the H-pipe to the mufflers.

The Magnaflow flow tubes are suppposedly freer flowing than stock with a few less bends in them. Also yes stock is mandrel bent, but the Magnaflow has smoother cleaner bends.

I really dont see a need for the cat back, the stock pipes look pretty good to me, I will go with the axel back myself.

500 dollars for an AXLE BACK?

Wow. That's ridiculous.

Can anybody tell me what makes this system worth 5 bills?

JBA's complete catback is only 370.

I'm lost here...

JBA's system is a Axle-back only, and the mufflers are aluminized steel, not stainless.

Sorry about the link...it worked for me at first

Uh, the first 2 products on that page are Catback systems.

JBA for 369, and Magnaflow for over 500.

JBA has released thier high performance Catback system for the 4.6L 3V 2005 GT Mustang! This system is aluminized construction throughout with high-luster 3" chrome exhaust tips with laser etched JBA logo. As always from JBA, you can expected increased power and top-noth quality!

Not top NOTCH spelling, but you get the point

Doesn't seem like an axle back to me.

I'm with you bud, Magnaflow is bending everyone over (without Vasoline) for that kind of money!! They make good stuff, but that is rediculous for a couple of stainless mufflers/tips.

I would actually call ************************* and find out the real price on the magnaflow catback before you accept the 500 at face value. They had the exhaust for my 99 cobra at 499.99 and sold it to me for 349.99 plus shipping. Web sites can't post prices below what magnaflow tells them. It may be 500 since it's new, but call and find out.
