Hi guys,

I'm looking for a set of exhaust tips. I'm wondering which size of Magnaflow I should go with.

Sizes include:

3.5 outlet / 2.5 inlet / 18inch long
3.5 outlet / 2.5 inlet / 22 inch long
3.5 outlet / 2.25 inlet / 18 inch long

Now, I imagine I should go with the last choice as I believe stock exhaust is 2.25" diameter. Also, I imagine an 18 inch sausage should be long enough to get the job done? Or should I go 22" for some reason? I should say too that I don't want these exhaust tips to stick out past the bumper. Maybe a half inch further out than stock tips.

Matt

I would buy a cat back exhaust system, that would upgrade you to a 2.5 inch, and the tips are included, just my .02

but if you want to stay 2.25 id do the last choice the tips would probably stick out half an inch maybe a little more than that compared to the stock tips

Cool, I'm still going to skip on the catback though. I already have mufflers, and in Canada, performance parts are very expensive compared to the US. So I'll just go for the tips. Can anyone else chime in that has these or any other tips welded in?

Thanks,
Matt

I'd say go for the 22" ones, and mount them near flush with the bumper. The longer tips will sound better, and look much better at the right angles.

Those are 3.5" polished slash cut Mac tips, and I absolutely loved them. I think they are the perfect size for the new edge cutouts. Mine could adjust in any direction, so I had them as close to the bumper as possible, and sticking out just shy of the furthest part of the bumper. I believe they were 22" tips, but I can't remember. The pipes going from them to the over-axle flanges were polished as well, and looked very nice through and around the wheels. You can actually buy that whole tailpipe setup direct from Mac.

I've seen your tips before, and I was hoping you'd reply. Your tips are the nicest I've seen. I wanted the MAC tips but they are quite expensive, and Magnaflow seems to offer a comparable product for cheaper.

Thanks for the pics.

I tried those tips before I got my Mac catback, and just didn't like the angle of the cuts. They were too sharp for me. They do look dead sexy on your car, though. That thing looks damn near spotless!
