Magnaflow...Magnapack...whats up with that?

It all sounds the same to me.....I just want to know the difference. I am thinking that Magnaflow is the exhaust system and Magnapack is the mufflers on a Magnaflow exhaust system....am i right or way off??? Peace out..

That's correct, magnapacks are different style of mufflers with the system, they're still straightthrough but they are round in shape opposed to oval and they are smaller in diameter oh yeah LOUDER.

So does that mean that Magnaflow exhaust systems come with different models of mufflers???? Magnapacks are 1 of the models... how much louder are the round ones vs the oval ones???

Not sure on actual decible numbers, they sound quite similar actually just the packs get a decent amount louder at speed and WOT.

Both mufflers are straight through designs that use some sort of packing around the perforated core to muffle the sound waves while letting the exhaust pass though almost freely.

Magnaflow = More packing and quiet at idle and loud at WOT
Magnapacks = Less Packing and Deep idle and pretty damn LOUD at WOT
