Dr. Gas for sure... it does require welding and is a PITA but damn is it worth it

do you have headers yet?... should get them and then you will be done w/ the exhaust. i had the BBK LT's.... i like em

I'de say go with a Magnaflow X pipe. Its good construction for the money, though I don't know what its like personally. I'm just guessing since its made by the same company that makes your cat-back, it should sound great together.

Hello,

How do you like the packs so far? Sound? Loudness? Drone?Price?Ease of instalation?etc.......

I'm trying to decide between now and Friday between the packs (with standard H pipe) and the regalar magnaflow exhaust.

Any info would greatly help.

Thanks

Chris

I had a bbk off road X pipe with the magnaflow magnapacks. I don't know exacly what type of sound you're searching for but I'll tell you about my set up. It was raspy, and loud as hell. At WOT it sounded awsome, but when accelerating at a normal sane pace shifting between 3000 and 4000 rpm betwen shifts when the rpms would drop before you hit the next gear it was very raspy, and i didn't like it. My advice would be to get a catted pipe. It won't be as loud, but the tone will be much better.

I just ordered the upr x pipe to go with my magnaflow catback(not the packs). At 144 shipped it was a bargain and I hear it gives good performance gains and sits a little higher than most x pipes.

I like it. It has a nice rumble to it.Not real loud, but enough to hear when you floor it. No drone that I can tell. I got mine off Partshopper for $347 shipped.

I was looking into an o/r mid pipe (not sure if i want X or H pipe) but dont want it to sound too high pitched with the magnapacks. I've heard from a few people with a magnaflow catted x, it will get louder, but also higher pitched. Anyone know what would be good for a really deep LOUD rumble tone with the packs.

I can confirm this. After I had my catted X installed, I noticed that I lost a little of the deepness of the exhaust sound, especially ~1500 rpms or so (just a guesstimate), but I think the X also made the exhaust sound more "racy". It's hard to describe - that's the only word I can come up with

But overall, I like the sound of the 'Packs much better with the catted X than with the stock H. Just my $0.02
