i was looking on partshopper & i saw a magnaflow tru x o/r pipe & a x pipe w/ cats...

i want to get a magnaflow o/r x pipe, but on there it says its a shortie pipe that keeps the factory cats on...is there another o/r x pipe magnaflow offers that isnt a "shortie" x pipe? and if so where can i find it?

their shortie is different than other shortie x-pipes

other companies have theirs set up for lt's, magnaflow uses the stock h-pipe and just cuts out the stock H section after the stock rear cats. just for sound i guess

as far as catted vs. o/r soundwise, the catted will have a smoother sound overall and have less popping on decel. i'm sure you can find plenty of soundclips

hmm...so if i went o/r magnaflow would there still be stock cats on my exhaust?

and i also noticed that magnaflow's are a little over 100 bucks more than bassani for an x pipe...anybody have any preferences between the two? i already have magnapacks on my stang too

ok, magnaflow makes 3 X-pipes:

one catted x- full length midpipe with 2 hi-flow cats

one o/r x- full length midpipe with no cats

one shorty x- replaces the H section with an X on the stock midpipe (4 stock cats)

unless you're in cali, you DO NOT want the 'shortie' magnaflow x-pipe. waste of money.

are you sure you're looking at the stainless steel bassani x? they make a non ss version of their pipe
either way, the prices posted on partshopper aren't the real prices when it comes to magnaflow stuff (i think, someone who's bought from here can clarify)

hmm...right on for looking out but ive only found the catted magnaflow & the tru x o/r shortie pipe too...where did ya find the full length o/r pipe at? i get paid the 1st & plan on getting that installed & redoing the tint...

im thinking like 10-15%...anybody have any pics of that or darker?
