Maintaining finish look on C&L

Just bought a C&L 76mm MAF and the aluminum intake pipe from the MAF to the TB. What would be the best way to maintain the clean aluminum look? Spray it with a clear coat? Any other suggestions? Thanks

I used 3-6 coats of aluminum color 500* engine paint. It looks good and won't be affected by the header heat from below.

If you bought from a place with a good return policy,you may want to make sure you have good driveability with that MAF first.It is easy to take it out and paint it later after you try it.You can't return it after you paint it.I just returned my C&L after the car had some stumbling problems.Replaced it with the new "PRO M" 75mm meter and now it drives much better.

Thats a good point. Dont want to turn this into a "Do you have driveability issue with C&L" thread, that horse has been beat to death. But I will install and drive it before I modify it. Thanks.
