My odometer is about to roll over 80k. What should I do to keep up with maintenance on a high mile daily driver other than regular oil changes/air filter cleanings? All suggestions appreciated.

I have all ready replaced spark plugs and fuel filter.

i did a flush and fill on coolant (it really needed it) and a tranny flush and fill (needed it a good while before i had it done)

i have done the differential cuz it was leaking, but the fluid was fine, so if there is no leak then i'd leave the differential fluid alone. coolant and tranny fluid would be the first then, check out the hoses make sure there is no rotting inside or out, and check the belt for cracking. aside from that i have not had to do anything else to the car. I just tripped 84k

Good deal. The belt was replaced at 36k, which was only a year and ahalf ago. I will have to snoop around under the hood!

I know how dangerous Coolant is to the environment, but with proper drainage, this is something I could potentially do myself right?

The Haynes manual will tell you what needs to be done as well as how to do it...

I know, I just wanted to hear what others have done. My mechanic didn't agree with a couple "routine maintenance" recommendations made by the manual.

you can do the coolant yourself, however i think you need a fill bucket and empty bucket to hook to the coolant hoses on the engine to actually flush it... just draining the radiator and res will not do enough. i had jiffy lube do my flush and fill because i didnt have the time.... costs like 60 bucks though... but for coolant and service, i'd pay it again.
