Ok, I have always had a minor problem with backfiring since I put on 2 chambers and a Bassani O/R X pipe. Now ALL OF THE SUDDEN it backfires A LOT. It is so bad that even going from second and pushing in the clutch to go to third gear it backfires. I can't drive it like this. It does it all the time. I checked just now to make sure all bolts were tight and they were. So what could cause this all of the sudden? And more importanly, how do I fix it? Thanks guys!

I take it that the backfires are in the exhaust? Do you have any exhaust leaks? Try pulling the codes, maybe its a rich condition. You have alot of mods and I am far from up to speed on tuning something like that. Does your exhaust stink of fuel? How do the plugs look? Heres a bump for you anyway, sorry I'm not much help.

Yes, check for exhuast leaks, make sure the 02 sensors are in tight, leaking header gaskets are known for causing backfires, and too much fuel as well. My car backfires when it's really cold, but it's just a little pop going from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. After 2 or 3 minutes it quits.
