Ok...all joking aside with the title. I have a 04 GT 5sp......and a 89 Porsche 944. The GT is a beast in terms of power and acceleration compared to the Porsche. Now don't get me wrong, the Porsche was fast for its time, but a mid 7 second 0-60 isn't too hot for a Porsche these days. The Porsche is much smoother, and handles like a freakin' go-cart and drives as tight as my asscheeks when the wife drives the GT. Is there anyway to make my GT handle like my Porsche. I only ask, because I'm going to be getting rid of the Porsche, leaks coolant, leaks oil, and has a million little things wrong with it like a 16 year old Porsche with 150k miles that has not been cared for would have wrong with it. crapola ..and if anyone has seen a Porsche catalog lately, a flippin' water pump cost 700 bucks, part only. Soooooooo....someone tell me how one day I can make my Mustang solid in turns rather than feeling like I'm driving spongebob squarepanties with wheels. I know I'm not going to get that feeling like I'm sitting on the pavement with the Porsche, but do all these suspension mods really make that big a difference and can they really turn a Mustang into a car that can hang with true sports cars, rather than the musclecar it is when stock? Hope nobody thinks I'm bashing my Stang....cuz the V8 sound alone is enough.

Thanks and before anyone tries to get funny...and recommends I cut the mustang body off and weld it onto the Porsche chassis....think again....I've got this phrase copyrighted! LOL

Drink one for me. I've seen these various kits. Figured it would take more than a new set of springs and shocks/struts like the Tokico's....but wasn't sure how much more it would take. Ok...so one day when I can spend this type of money...is alot of this stuff do-it-yourself? Any welding?

You're inviting all of the jokers into this thread with a title like that.:D

What tomustang said is you're best bet.

Of course there's always...

You could install a dvd player in the trunk and an lcd monitor in the driver's sunvisor then put in a video of a current porsche driving around. The only tough part is matching the curves on the video to the curves on the road.:rlaugh:

j/k

Yeah, figured I'd get some views with a title like that after the other thread. I should have majored in marketing!

I think I've solved the curves on the vid matching the curves of the road problem. Install a PS2...gran turismo4...and wire the controller into the steering wheel. Then I turn the mustang into just about any car I want!

Nah, not just a track thing. Wouldn't mind doing some track stuff for fun, but I just like the feeling of a tight handling car after being spoiled by the Porsche. This Stang will be a daily driver for me for awhile to come....so I eventually want a quick car that will hang on the windy roads too! I've heard alot about the MM stuff...so I figured that would be the general consensus....just thought I'd check again!

I have a 2003 Boxster S handles 10 times better than stang.... Youre talking 3300 lbs. on stang and 2800 lbs on Boxster. What do you think!!!!!!!! Add 3 people in the porsche 2 seater and it would be more fair!!!!!!!!! Stock mustang handles like crap anyway compared to a 60,000 dollar boxster S model like mine. Try a boxster if you can trade the stang....I kept both for my collection...... Pricy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not better than my stang.:D

I don't think anyone would say a stock Mustang GT could possibly outhandle any newer Porsche. My question was whether an upgraded suspension on a Stang could handle like a true sports car. From what I'm reading about the Maximum Motorsports stuff....it may not handle like a Boxster cuz of weight...but it certainly can slalom quicker.
