Man my self controll is shot....

After not driving the car for like 6 months, it's hard to refrain.
Neat having the "rush" back again though.

Coming home this morning on the autobahn (about 5:30 am) no cars around, opened it up through 3rd and 4th.

Got all the way up to starbucks by QFC and my hands were still shaking from the adrenalin.

(sigh) I love cars.

I like looking down and seeing I'm doing more than double the speed limit and still pulling hard. Stupid, I know on the streets and all, but you can't be at the track 24/7 and sometimes you just need to hit it hard.

I know the feeling after going from the 4 banger to the 93! This morning i figured i'd get on it a bit, and i dont know what happened or how it did but went a little sideways 3rd to 4th? Dont ask me i dont have no 700 hp like some of us? Was fun but still a shock to me. peace

Autobahn. Thats great DD.

Side note: Its quite funny too me, I drive the coupe which I am putting alot of miles on, nobody is intrested in racing, but hopp in the black one, and everybody and their mother is jumping to race. On 2 seperate occasions, I had motorcycles wanna run today. Cars are slowing down waiting for me to approach, then I get the Rev I need an onboard camera to catch some of this stuff, cause its funny

I had the muffle rust off my 97 civic a few years back. I had the crappy exhaust sound due to just having a straight pipe.

everybody revved at me at lights. Mini vans, old ladies, kids and thier tuners, pick ups, etc.

they would launch off the light and I would just putter along. I got that fixed pretty fast.

Lucky guy! Where are these aggresive drivers at? In vancouver? I swear nobody ever races wherever i go out.

Varian, it never used to be that way, but now, it's completly opposite. Perhaps the word is out on your car, people know not to try their luck againest you

SR500 and the new Padden Express way seems to have the most aggressive drivers from my short experience.

Question: Does every local-yocal with a dodge truck think it's some kind of muscle car?

One of the guys here at work (Randy from seh) has a rumble bee, and he talks noooonnn stop smack about how fast it is.

Giving me a bad time about how he "beats five liters all the time"...

...so we go on the rumble bee owners assn website thing and I show him:
Look they run like 15.3s.

Heck even bone stock my car ran 14.7... So Im like "go get a blower, and then come back and see me." (now he's really bent)

But it's not just him, every geek on the street seems like he thinks his ride is something great.

I mean mine isnt even anything nasty, it's just a little n/a 306.

God help these morons if they run across uncle Keneth, or a stroked windsor, or a bottle junkie...

They cant even fathom how bad they'll get smoked. Can't ya just picture a 15 sec rumble bee, or cobalt ss, or whatever, trying to mess with a 400 horse awd scoobie doo, or a pumped up lightning, etc....

(sigh) Too much car salesman BS and sales brochure hype, being pawned off as truth.

Its odd, but I get no one wanting to race me generaly, however I have a story I can share with ya on Saturday... ran into a quick little vette....

Funny you guys are mentioning that people trying to race you! EVERY TIME i drive the 92 (4 banger) someone tries to race me! So the other day comming home from work in the 93 this ass cuts over right behind me on 14. So i drop a gear and go then about 1/4 mile away i let off . So here he comes up on me again so i pull over and let him by as i smeark to him and he guns it! peace

After my ticket 3 weeks ago I have been pretty good.. I have had 2 close calls, one the day after i paid my ticket .. I was getting on 205( in the 03) and I saw some import speeding to catch up to me, I wsa going to get on it and decided not to, THANK god I didnt as we came right over that first curve right before the island that faces tha airport a motorcycle cop had out his radar and got him.... That was a close one.. and then again today on 164th right before qfc( its gone now) an undercover had is radar out in the indoor soccer side street.. I was not speeding in either case...

NOW MILLPLAIN.. on the other hand....thats a fun one I sometimes go the long way home looking for a taunt....

the older datsun motors will not die. I ran one for two years with a hole the size of a silver dollar in one of the pistons.

It was gutless, but It was geared so low that I could take anything off the line. But then I had to shift and it was all over.

I have been getting people (imports) left and right doing the dirve by rev, hang and scoot crap with the vert. IT is entertaining yet frustrating. Where were all these bastides whe I had the little blue bomber?? Either they knew she was hot and stayed away, or saw it was an old brit car and thought nothing of it..

Either way, they better behave when the notch gets done..

Since I moved to the metro area, no one, and I mean not 1 person has even so much as given me the drive by rev. I think they have heard all sorts of terminator stories and are scared off by the little snake on the fender....guess they don't have to know that it's slow.
