Purchased manual rack shaft for my 92 notch. The manual shaft end that goes to the rack is too small, will only fit power steering rack end. Which is 3/4 I ch.
Anyone know size of end going into manual rack????? . Thanks
IIrc, the stock and flaming river manual racks have a 9/16 spline in the input shaft, with a flat to index. You are correct that the manual and power steering racks have different size input shafts, requiring a different coupler. I just swapped a Ford Manual rack for a Flaming River and it fit perfectly. Google Flaming Rivers website, I think it has all the specs on the manual racks.
