i am putting a flaming river steering rack on my car. it came with a parts car. it even had a shaft with it. i was putting the shaft on and low and behold the coupler on the shaft fits a 3/4 inch shaft like the PS units. so my question is, what cars have the steering coupler that will fit the small shaft on the rack i have using the stock P/S shaft.

The coupler comes from a 79-81 Mustang but Ford no longer sells it.
Flaming River does sell them but they are $75 plus shipping.
I have one if you need one that I bought from Flaming River for my old coupe.

That's some good information about the coupler. I learned the hard way what everyone was talking about when it comes to aftermarket steering shafts and headers. They are way too big and it doesn's help that the bolts stick out as well. I started looking at my stock shaft and wished I could get it to work since it is smaller at the top joint so now I can. Thanks for the info!
