if i switch to manual steering how much worse will the effort be? ive heard some say that if you do it right your effort can be just a little tougher than with power steering, because of the ratios or something. i still need to figure out my power steering pump issue when ig et back to school i was wondering if it would be possible to ditch it completley.

Once I build my 89 for the track I'm going to manual steering. If you get a close ratio it will be easier to steer than the others. The thing with manual steering is just to roll alittle before you start turning. Also, how did you find the production info of your car that's in your signiture?

Just switched my '92 over to manual steering in the last month. It is not the quick ratio rack and I an running skinnies on the front. Effort has increased a lot, but to me it is tolerable.
