Since I mainly bracket race and my car is a drag only car. I want to go to a auto. I have heard a lot about going c4 but they don't last long. Ive heard go turbo400 but they are heavy and not as efficient. I can't seem to find anything about a powerglide with a Modular motor. I don't think the powerglide will be as fun to drive but will be more consistant. I also fear that a glide willl make the car a turd. I'm thinking a least a 5500 stall converter but what size converter do I need? 9.5" or 8" or what? Please help me out. Thanks,

Why don't you just build a 4r70w? You ONLY drive the car at the track?

I've heard the won't hold the power. I'm planning on building a new motor that will be around 700rwhp. Yea its only a track car.

a properly built c4 will handle that just rember any automatic will need matience at those power levels from time to time and a glide would be a turd behind a 4.6 eithor way u will need alot more rear gear to get it out of the hole than a 5 speed takes

For the record, when I do my auto, I am going with a Lentech 4r70w in a close ratio. Full reverse manual valve body with a brake. 4500 stall 9" converter. Should spool a 76mm GTS nicely.
