For a daily driver you don't use a straight manual valve body (or should I say it's not recommended) for a d/d you use an auto/manual valve body. If you’re going to race from a stop put the tranny in 1st and it will not shift unless you do. If your not racing just put it in drive and the tranny automatically shift it self like normal.
I run the Performance Automatic full manual vb in my car...its pretty simple...you control all the shifting on your own...whatever gear your shifter is in, is what the trans is in. I had to wire up an o/d switch as well...
