Like what would I need to change I really like the idea that I can shift at any rpm I want..
My car is only used once in a while like sat or sunday car or to cream friends..
This is going to be used just for racing..

I have a B&M shifter comming in for cristmas and might get some other stuff with it to upgrade the tranny..

If you use the car on the weekends & for racing only then a full manual valve body is what you want, IMO. The difference between a full manual and non manual is full manual you HAVE to shift to each gear each time you want the tranny to shift (up & down & back to 1 when you take off) and non is you can leave it in D and it will shift on its own or you can shift it manually if you want. The full manual is more race oriented, but IMO is very streetable for what you intend to use the car for.

You can either get a forward or reverse pattern: reverse has the shift pattern of PRN123 and forward is PRN321. Get a shifter w/a R lockout, which most have anyway. This will NOT allow you to accidentally shift into R w/out pulling a lever. Nice safety item.

You can also check out Summit and Jegs for what they carry.

Is it a stock tranny or has the internals been upgraded? Have a tranny cooler? I'd recommend upgrading the internals and adding a tranny cooler. If you don't have the need of a trans brake then don't get one. I have one and it's REALLY nice, but footbraking is all you'll 'probably' need.

I have a stock tranny but its been rebuilt and only has about 100miles to it.. is that ok or do I still need to rebuild it agian with stronger stuff..

Was it rebuilt w/stock internals? IMO, and looking at your motor specs, you could keep the internals stock and use it until it lets go, then replace the internals. You'll probably be OK and not break anything for a while.

It was rebuilt stock everything was changed on the inside.. Its pretty strong right now Much better then when i first got it... I feel the power now..

You should be good then. You're not over the power limit and as long as you don't abuse it when you race you'll be good for a while... a long while. When you up the power then it'll be time to worry :D

Let us know how you like the VB.
