Mass Air Conversion and O2 Sensor Questions

I did a mass air conversion in my 86. I am going to be replacing the O2's soon, and I looked up part number on napaonline for Bosch sensors. The sensor part number for my 86 is BSA 13913 and I did a search for a 89 because I have the A9L computer. That part number is BSA 13942. Obviously two different numbers. The sensors I have now are two wires. I have no idea if all O2's on EFI mustangs have two wires, but I want to know what kind of differece running an O2 sensor not meant for your car is going to make. Should I get 89 O2's? Are the wire hook ups the same as my 86 or do I have to splice? Thanks Guys.

The difference is most likely in the wiring connectors. I recall that being the difference but am not 100% sure.

If this is true, it would mean you want the 86 sensors.

I talked with Hi-Tech Motorsports in Ramsey today and they told me that the 89's have a third wire for warm up purposes or something like that. They said the sensor gets hotter faster but it is not a big deal. They said to stick with the 86, since an O2 is an O2 on the Mustang. Does the same thing.

that is strange that you have a two wire O2, as i have a 3 wire O2. or maybe i am the strange one. lol
